Welcome to my first rant!

Hello everyone!

My name is Lady Yokai. Well, of course it's not really Lady Yokai, but for now, we'll just keep it at that. I have never done this before, but I have a lot of hostility so, why not post it?!!!!! Maybe through my ramblings, someone else won't feel so alone.

So I guess, let's start with today.

The chaotic holiday hustle and bustle has started! This is day 6. I work in retail. ( I won't say where. That would be just too easy!) This is my first retail job. Before this job, customer service was just a sick joke. I spent some time in the US Army doing some local resident interviewing. Asking if they wanted a gift receipt just wasn't going to happen. Anyway, I got out of the Army and sat around for a couple of months. During that time, I began to love pilates and hate fast food. Also I got a job in a bookstore. My first job that didn't require me to scream at the top of my lungs or do push-ups when I made a FUBAR. The job is cool. I get to learn stuff from all the smart people around me and the food ain't bad.

Well to the point of this blog. I promised someone at work I would blog stupid and irritating questions from customers. So here are a couple from today.

After putting out 256 variations of holiday cards, a customer asked me:
" Is this all you have? I've seen all these already!"

I leave my house at 6:30 am. I start work at 7 am. I don't leave until 1pm.
"I was watching the Today Show/The View/Fox and Friends/Early Show/Good Morning America this morning. There was a (fill in the appropriate color ) book on the show. Can you tell me where that book is?"

"I am looking for a book. The words the and leader are in the title."

" I see you have 12 different types of monopoly games, but do you have the kind you can buy at Wal-mart?"

"Do you sell books at this store?"

" I'm looking for a book. It's red."

I hope you enjoy those as much as I hated to hear them!!!!!!

Til' next time!

Yokai

I welcome your rant!!! I too have the luxury of working in retail. I get the dumbest questions....
" Can this cake be used for a birthday cake?"

" Is this all the bread that you have"

" Is this cake fresh"? No dumb ass we keep the cake out until it grows life and you get sick and sue us and we will all be out of jobs.

Continue to let it out!!!
